Copper Mountain - Winter Happenings

There are many activities to do while at Copper Mountain Resort.  Lift tickets are best purchased through Copper at www.coppercolorado.com.  They guarantee the lowest price.   This is a private condo - so we don't have any additional discounts available for lift tickets or activities.  For ski rentals, we like the Christy Sports right in East Village and also a great place to demo skies.  It is in the building next to Foxpine.  If you are staying in Center Village, there are a couple of shops but we like Breeze Ski Rental.  It is easy at all of them to reserve online or on the phone ahead of your trip.

Restaurants and Bars:  Downhill Dukes, incline Bar & Grille, Ten Mile Tavern (our favorite lunch joint), Double Diamond (our favorite coffee and breakfast place),  JJ's Rocky Mountain Tavern (East Village - and has great food),  Mountain Melt, El Zacatecano (Mexican), Eagle BBQ, Mulligan's Irish Pub, High Rockies Whiskey and Wine Bar, Sugar Lips Mini Donuts, City Pop Gourmet Popcorn & Candy.

Go to www.coppercolorado.com for more information, menus, hours and locations.

The Copper Blog is super fun to follow as they post all sorts of information.

We also encourage you to follow #Coppermtn and #Lark_mtn on Instagram and LarkMountain on Facebook

Rocky Mountain Coaster:  Located near the American Flyer Lift, the alpine coaster will take you cruising through the forest in both the winter and summer months while the resort is open!

Tubbing is also a really fun activity to do and it is right in East Village.  You do need to make reservations with Copperas it books up fast.

Coffee Shops:  Camp Hale(three locations), The Belgian Bean, Sky Chutes Coffee House, Starbucks (Center Village)

Safe Sledding -Please be aware that sledding on County Roads is dangerous and there are several places STR guests and their children can head to safely sled or tube. Some ideas are here.

For Grocery: In Frisco, just 10 minutes away, there is a Safeway, Walmart and Whole Foods.  In Copper Resort there is just a small (expensive) McCoy's Mountain Market in Center Village and a convenience store right off the exit - so we always encourage guests to plan ahead if you are going to eat/cook in the property. We haven't had great luck with delivery services for Food.  We had one guest get an Instacart order this summer to go through but have had a hard time since.  Staffing is really hard in the mountain communities.

Restaurants and Bars:  Downhill Dukes, Sawmill Pizza & Bar, Ten Mile Tavern (our favorite lunch joint),  Downhill Dukes (at the base of the mountain), JJ's Rocky Mountain Tavern (East Village - and has great food), T-Rex Grill,  El Zacatecano (Mexican), Eagle BBQ, Mulligan's Irish Pub, High Rockies Whiskey and WIne Bar, Sugar Lips Mini Donuts, City Pop Gourmet Popcorn

We were just informed they are opening a new family style Italian Restaurant called Mama's Italiano - where they will serve homemade pasta, pizza and sandwiches.  I also encourage you to follow #Coppermtn and #Lark_mtn on instagram and LarkMountain on facebook

Coffee Shops:  Camp Hale(three locations), The Belgian Bean, Sky Chutes Coffee House, Starbucks (Center Village)

By booking one of our LARKMOUNTAIN homes at Copper Mountain, parking was detailed in your Rental Agreement. If you are arriving before 4 p.m. on your day of arrival, you must make a reservation with Copper Mountain directly for parking in advance.  Check out time is 11 a.m. Cars may not stay parked at our properties after 11 a.m.  If you are skiing the day of departure, then you need to plan accordingly to move the car and get a pre-arranged parking reservation.
